CGZ

PUBG console esports platform with its own rating algorithm.

Next.jsPostgresDiscordAPIs
Overview

A competitive esports platform for PUBG on Xbox and PlayStation 5, built to replace the scattered Discord servers and spreadsheets European console teams were using to run competition. It handles signups and brackets, logs every match, and computes a custom CGZ Rating from real performance across lobbies, broken down per map.

OutcomeResults stopped being a matter of opinion.

How It Went
3 parts

Where it started

European PUBG console teams were running real competition on Discord servers and shared spreadsheets. Results got argued over because nobody held a single record, and organisers retyped match data by hand every week.

How it was built

Match data comes straight from the official PUBG API and every round is logged, so the rating is computed from actual performance rather than reported scores. Discord OAuth, because that is the identity the community already has.

What shipped

Tournaments, brackets and rosters in one place, with per-map statistics across Erangel, Miramar and Taego, and live leaderboards that settle the argument.
