Do I own the code?
Yes. The source is handed over at the end and it runs on infrastructure in your name. There is nothing to unpick if you want somebody else to take it on.
What if the scope changes?
The price is fixed against an agreed scope, so a change is a conversation with a number attached rather than a surprise on the invoice.
